Biography
Virginia Thomas McCrory was born on 11 August 1836 in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee, United States, daughter of Thomas McCrory (1790–1884) and Mary West (1795–1849).
In 1850, Virginia (13) was living in Williamson, Tennessee with her mother, Mary E McCrary (14); her siblings, Sarah H McCrary (16), and Rachel F McCrary (15); and Thos McCrary (60), Elizabeth McCrary (48), Virginia T McCrary (14), Jno B McCrary (11), Elizabeth McCrary (12), Saml H Potts (14), and W H Potts (12). Virginia (15) married William H. T. Morgan (20) (born in December 1831 in Tennessee; son of Thomas Morgan and Martha (Barnes) Morgan) on 24 December 1851 in Williamson, Tennessee.[3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
In 1860, Virginia (23) was living with her husband, William Morgan (28); her mother, Mary Morgan (8); her siblings, Robert Morgan (3), and Sallie Morgan (0); and Virginia Morgan (23). [8]
In 1870, Virginia (33) was living in District 11, Grainger with her husband, William H P Morgan (38); her mother, Mary Morgan (16); her siblings, Robert Morgan (13), Lucy Morgan (9), Rachael Morgan (6), and Lena Morgan (1); and Virginia Morgan (34), and Margaret Morgan (4). [1]
