*Note The marriage Certificate for Faye Nanette McCoy Lowe to Elmer Lowe is not correct. She was only 14 years old when she married she was not 18 which is on the marriage Certificate. Elmer Lowe was not 19 years old he was 17 years old. Their birth date is just a guess from the made information they gave to be able to get married. The witness on the Certificate is Hooper Barber, which was Elmer's Brother in law, and later after the murder of my father Hooper Barber and Elmer's sister Alma Lowe Barber adopted me. After the marriage they lived in the house with Alma and Hooper Barber for several months.
Fay was born on 6 Sep 1921. She was the daughter of Richard" Dock" McCoy and Nancy Davis McCoy is known as Nan. Faye had 5 siblings. Faye Nanette McCoy married Elmer Lowe June 16, 1935, in Anderson County, Tennessee, USA. He was 17 years old and she was 14 years old. Elmer's sister Alma Lowe Barber and her husband Hooper Barber were the witnesses at the wedding. They lived in the house with them for several months. They lived in the mountains of New River and had 8 children together. Elmer died two days before he turned 39 years old in Nov. 1957. Faye Nanette McCoy Lowe never married again. She lived until the age of 96 years old. They both are buried side by side at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Dossett in Anderson County, TN.
Obituary of Faye Lowe Faye Lowe age 96 of Clinton, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Norris Health & Rehab Center in Andersonville, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Faye is preceded in death by her father, Richard McCoy, and mother, Nancy Elizabeth Davis McCoy; husband, Elmer Lowe; children, Ed Lowe, Dennie Lowe, Larry Lowe, Margaret Lowe, and Johnny Lowe; brothers and sisters, Llis McCoy Robinson, Joseph McCoy, Janice McCoy Bray, Claudine McCoy Seiber, and Clyde McCoy.
Faye is survived by her children, Steve Lowe of Clinton, TN, Chris Lowe of Clinton, TN, and Nancy Sitzlar of Kingston, TN; 25 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Faye’s family will receive her friends on Sunday, December 17, 2017, from 12 noon to 2:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Faye’s interment will be at Anderson Memorial Gardens following her funeral services. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
