Louisa Angelina McCarty, born 1839, daughter of Ransalar and Mary M. McCarty of E. G. The Newmarket Era reported that on Aug. 18th, 1871 she went into a loft over the woodshed. The floor being loose, she stepped on the end of a board, fell through, a distance of nine feet, landed on the sharp edge of an oil barrel, fractured her pelvis and received other serious injuries. She died on Aug. 31. She is buried in the Newmarket cemetery.
