Anna was the daughter of Isaiah and Mary (Laud) McCarter. She was born 13 Aug 1789 in Pleasant Valley, New Brunswick. She married Thomas Choate, 10 Jul 1808. They resided in Glanford, Ontario. She died 19 Nov 1863.
