Daniel was born about 1600, estimated from marriage.
He married Margaret Whittell on 30 September 1623 at Elland, Yorkshire, "Daniell Mawd Wakefield + Margareta Whittell hic episco:" - Daniell Mawd of Wakefield and Margaret Whittell of this church. (England Marriages shows his surname as Wakefield but the licence makes it clear Wakefield is his parish).[1][2][3]
They had a daughter Mary the following year.[4]
