Biography

Age 40 at his father's death in 1576.

Married (1st), before 10 Mar 1557/8, Jane Eltofts, daughter of Anthony Eltofts of Farnhill, near Skipton.

They had 6 daughters

Jane died on 26th December 1587, and was buried at Bingley the same day, it says here. Arthur married (2nd), on 27 Sep 1593, another, and much younger, Jane, viz Jane Henthorne, according to the register.

They had 3 sons and 2 daughters

Arthur made his will on 27th March 1611 (proved 6 July 1611) and was buried at Bingley on 10th April. His heir was his son Thomas, by his 2nd wife. She survived him and died in 1638.
