Biography
Augustin Mathieu was born and baptized on 11 Jan 1791 in Immaculée-Conception parish in Saint-Ours. He was the son of Michel Mathieu and his wife Josephte Benoit. Godparents at Augustin's baptism were François Mathieu and Geneviève Blanchard. At age 24 Augustin married Theotiste Richer on 14 Aug 1815 in Immaculée-Conception parish. There are ten known children born into this marriage.
