Biography
Sabina Mata was born on 30 December 1919 in Galeana, Nuevo León, Mexico to Catarino Mata and Lucas Herrera.[1] She married Jose Geronimo Medrano before 1940, likely in Mexico, though records have yet to be found.
She is enumerated in the 1940 United States Census in the household of her father-in-law, Pedro Medrano. The house is located on 210 Libertad Street in Weslaco, Hidalgo, Texas. She is listed as a resident alien, and according to the documents, she lived in the same household in 1935. She has not attended school or college and is not working.[2]
Sabina died on 29 January 1989[3] and is buried with her husband at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Weslaco, Texas.[4]
