Biography

William was born in 1818. He was the son of Richard Marson and Lucy Springate and was baptised at St Philip, Birmingham on September 25th 1818[1]

William followed his father and became a button maker. In 1841, he was still living at home with his father and sisters Charlotte and Lucy [2]

In 1845, he married Sophia Timmins at St Peter, Harborne, Staffordshire [3]

The couple's children included

Sybilla (Sarah) Marson born about 1849
Joseph Marson born about 1853 [5][6]
