Biography
Maria was born in 1844, a daughter of Maestro Ignazio Marino, a shoemaker, and Vincenza Teri [1]. In 1861 at age 17, she married 24-year-old Maestro Vito Giambalvo, an agent. They had at least 7 children.
She died some time between 1875 when daughter Pietra was born and 1883 when her husband remarried.
Maria was named for her paternal grandmother, Maria Angela Catanzaro.
