Biography

Rosalia Marino (also called "Rosa") is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giuseppe Marino and Maria Piranio, who married in 1752. She is named after her paternal grandmother.

Rosa marries Mariano Marsalisi, widower of Maria, son of the late Giovanni Marsalisi and Margherita Lanza, on 16 August 1780. (Her mother’s first name is abbreviated, and her surname given as “Praino,” in this record.)^[1]

Mariano and Rosa have at least one child, Margherita (c. 1782), named after her paternal grandmother.

Margherita marries Salvatore Cutrono on 18 September 1809. Mariano has died by this time.^[2]
