Biography

Marco Marino is a Corleone native resident, the son of Salvatore Marino and Paola Pomilla, who married in 1924.^[1]

Marco and his brother, Giovanni, are known as victims of the war between Luciano Leggio and Dr. Michele Navarra in Corleone. The brothers, with Pietro Maiuri, attempted an assassination of Leggio, which was not successful. Leggio retaliated, with his first victims being Marco, Giovanni, and Pietro, on 6 September 1856.

Marco and Giovanni's birth years are not yet known. Based on their given names, Marco is likely the first born son, and Giovanni the second. Marco is named after his paternal grandfather.
