Bernardo Marino is born 10 July 1904 in Corleone, the son of Giuseppe Marino and Giuseppa Caruso.[1] He is named after his paternal grandfather.
Bernardo marries Rosa Governali, daughter of Calogero Governali and Maria Antonia Streva, on 19 April 1937.[2]
Bernardo appears among the defendants at the 1969 Mafia trial in Bari, Italy.[1] Bernardo is named in connection with the top members of Luciano Leggio's cosca, including Bernardo Provenzano, Calogero Bagarella, Salvatore Riina, and Leggio himself. As part of the violence of Leggio's war for dominance of the mafia in Corleone, one of his targets is Francesco Paolo Streva, Dr. Navarra's fearsome hit man. According to the charges brought against him at Bari, Bernardo Marino takes part in Streva's killing.
