Biography

(Barbara) Francesca Marino was born at Sciacca, Provincia di Girgenti, Kingdom of Sicily, "heri," 4 Xbre (December) 1654, daughter of Carlo Marino and Antonia [Mancuso]; and was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, 5 Xbre (December) 1654; her sponsors were Geronimo Cirulla and Francesca di Chiaza.[1]

Francisca Marino, daughter of Carlo Marino and Antonia [Mancuso], married at Sciacca (Quartiere San Michele), 6 April 1671, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Carlo Bivona Capp.ni, Jacobum Marchese, son of qm Carlo Marchese and Giovanna [Ficara]. The witnesses were Mag.co Vincenzo Vetrano and Libertino Bono; Don Leonarda Frisca conducted the benediction.[2]

Giacomo Antonino Marchese was born at Sciacca, "hodie," 10 April 1639, son of Carlo Marchese and Giovanna [Ficara]; and was baptized at San Michele parish, Sciacca, 10 April 1639; his sponsors were Francesco Miglienti and Accursia Lucchisi.[3] Jacobus Marchisi alias Lavatesta died in his home, and was buried in Matrice cemetery, Sciacca, 16 February 1695, aged about 40: "Jacobus Marchisi alias Lavatesta ann: 40 c.r."[4]
