Biography

Antonia Accursia Marino was born at Sciacca, Provincia di Girgenti, Kingdom of Sicily, "hodie," 12 January 1719, daughter of Nicolò Marino and Francesca [Gallo], and was baptized in Matrice parish, 12 January 1719; her sponsors were Giuseppe LaBella and Teresa Indelicato.[1] Antonia Amodeo uxor Gaspari Amodeo died in her home, and was buried on the grounds of San Francesco church convent (3: ordini), Sciacca, 31 July 1785, aged 65 [sic]: "Antonia Amodeo uxor Gasparii Amodeo annora 65 etatis sue."[2]

Antonia Marino, daughter of Nicolò Marino and Francesca Gallo, married at Sciacca (Quartiere Matrice), 4 January 1740, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Onofrio Dionosi Capp.ni, Gasparem Amodeo, son of qm Michele Amodeo and Maria Picuni. The witnesses were Vito Falco and Maestro Michelangelo Abruzzo.[3]

Gaspare Onofrio Amodeo was born at Sciacca, "hoc nocte," 10 September 1717, son of Michele Amodeo and Anna [Giglio], and was baptized in Matrice parish, 10 September 1717; his sponsors were Onofrio Bruno and Antonina Bruno.[4] He died at Matrice parish, Sciacca, after 18 7bre (September) 1774.[5]

Maria filia Gaspare et Antonia Amodeo d. home, bur. San Michele Arcangelo, 29 8bre (Oct.) 1744, ae. 1: "Maria filia Gaspare et Antonia Amodeo Ann: unius."
  3. Maria Francesca Amodeo, b. "hoc nocte," 14 Xbre (Dec.) 1747; bap. 15 Xbre (Dec.) 1747; sponsors were Mag.r Giuseppe Cardalena et Pumilia and Anna uxor Biaggio Gallo.
  4. Michele Francesco Paolo Amodeo, b. "heri," 11 July 1749; bap. Matrice, 12 July 1749; sponsors were Bartolomeo Ciaccio and Anna Quartararo.
  5. Michele Amodeo, b. 3 July 1754; m. Antonina Lucia Ognibene.
  6. Calogero Maria Amodeo, b. 2 p.m., 11 Jan. 1757; bap. San Michele, 11 Jan. 1757; sponsors were Paolo Bilello and Filippa Liberto uxor Domenico.
  7. Nicolò Salvatore Amodeo, bap. San Michele, 5 Aug. 1759.[10] Nicolai Amodeo, son of qm Gaspare Amodeo and qm Antonina Marino, m. Sciacca (Quartiere Matrice), 1 9bre (Nov.) 1786, by Reverendo Sacerdote Don Vincenzo Pisone Capp.ni, Ignatiam Zito, dau. of qm Paolo Zito and Maria Venezia. The witnesses were Don Giuseppe Abruzzo, and M.ro Salvatore Tornetta.
