Biography
Joseph Fabien Marin was born on 1 May 1882 and was baptized four days later in Sainte-Félicité parish in Matane, Rimouski, Québec, Canada. He was the son of Fabien Marin, farmer, and Victoria Dion of this parish. Sponsors at Fabien's baptism were Jacob Boucher, farmer, and his wife Marie Tremblay; neither sponsor signed the register.
At age 26 Fabien married first wife Maria Truchon on 11 Aug 1908 in Sainte-Félicité parish in Matane. The couple received a dispensation for two banns of marriage. There was one known child born into this marriage, Marie died on 1 Jun 1909 in Sainte-Félicité.
At age 33 Fabien married second wife Flore Ida Leclerc on 8 Jun 1915 in Sacre-Coeur-de-Marie parish in Chandler, Gaspé Sud, Québec, Canada.
