Biography

Matha was born on 4 December 1818 and baptised on 21 September 1834 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England. She was the daughter of Samuel and Ann Mansell^[1]

In the 1841 census Martha (age 20) was living in Botley Street, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England with her parents Samuel and Ann Mansell.^[2]

In the 1861 census Martha (age 42) was the married head of household in Tipton, Staffordshire, England.^[3]

In the 1881 census Martha (age 64) was the widowed head of household in Ball Fields, Tipton, Staffordshire, England. She was living with her 23 year old son James^[4]
