Biography

Francis was born about 1810 at Edlingham, Northumberland.^[1][2]He was baptised at Edlingham on 5 August 1810.^[2] He was the son of James Manisty and Eleanor Forster,^[2] and brother of Judge Manisty.^[3]He was a surgeon and General Practitioner.^[1] He served as a Surgeon-Major for Her Majesty's Indian Army.^[4]He lived for many years at 'The Retreat',^[3]Gresford.^{[3] [1]}He died at Gresford on 5 January 1890.^[4]and buried there on 9 January 1890.^[5]
