Biography

Mary was born on 19 Feb 1916 in Marshall County, Minnesota, USA.[1] She is the daughter of John Dennis Maloney and Anna Emelia Starkey. She passed away on 21 Jan 1995 in Alexandria, Douglas, Minnesota, USA.[2][3]

Marriage

On 30 Oct 1937, in Sisseton, Roberts, South Dakota, Raymond Quast married Mary Maloney. [4] Together they had 4 children.

Obituary

[5] Funeral Services for Mary Quast were held on January 25, 1995 at Calvary Lutheran Church with Reverend Eric Erickson officiating. Vocal duet music was provided by Paul and Karen Quast, accompanied by Mary Hagen. Becky Worley was the organist. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery with Gary Ganje, Bob Olson, Bob Nelson, Tom Torgerson, Orrin Miller, Dennis Maloney and Pat Maloney serving as pallbearers. Mary was born in Grygla, Minnesota on February 19, 1916, the daughter of John and Anne Maloney. When she was young her family moved to Leaf Valley Township where they farmed. She graduated from high school and lived in Alexandria following her marriage. On October 31, 1937, Mary and Raymond Quast were married in Sisseton, South Dakota. They were the parents of five children. Mary had many interests including knitting, crocheting and playing bingo. She was active in her circle at Calvary Lutheran Church and was always willing to help when needed. Mary died at the Knute Nelson Home on January 21, 1995 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in April of 1983; two brothers: Al and Gene Maloney; a sister, Agnes Alexander Moe; and a grandson, Scott Trenne. Surviving her are her children: (Listed living people) 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria.
