Helen Dorothy Malmgron (also known as Nell Stirling) was born on August 22, 1909 in Summer Hill, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to Henry Malmgron and Mary Lawrie.[1] She was a radio actress and producer and a dancer.
She married Harold Parks on March 29, 1934 at St David's Presbyterian Church in Ashfield.[2] They had one daughter together. They divorced in July 1948.[3]
Nell and George built their dream home, Darjoa, at Point Piper in 1937.
Nell married a second time to her accountant, Alexander Atwill, on November 9, 1948 at St Philip's Church of England in Sydney.[4] They had one daughter together.
She passed away of an accidental overdose of carbitral capsules on November 10, 1951[5] at her Vaucluse home and was cremated with Anglican rites.[6]
