Robert Bascome Majors was born on 18 October 1944 in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States.^[1][2] His parents were Robert Bascom Majors (1917 - 1986) and Sara Lessie (Levie) Majors (1924-1999).^[3]

Robert Bascome Majors was a United States Navy veteran. He enlisted on 01 January 1962. He was discharged on 01 January 1968.^[2]

From his obituary: "He worked in retail sales. He was a member of Walker's Chapel Baptist Church. He was an umpire for League Baseball and a Referee for AHSAA."^[3]

Robert B. Majors was mentioned as one of the surviving sons of Sara L. Majors when she died in 1999.^[4]

Robert Bascome Majors passed away on 04 March 2010 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.^[2] He was 65 years old.^[1] At the time of his death he was a resident of Pinson, Jefferson County, Alabama. He was buried at Lees Chapel Cemetery, Pine Mountain, Blount County, Alabama^[3][5]

Research Notes

Robert Bascome Majors was married more than once. His obituary mentions a surviving spouse and three surviving children. It mentions that one daughter, Mary McCombs Casie, died before he did. It is possible she was a step-daughter and that her last name should have been "Casey" but was misspelled.^[3]
