David Mailer was born in 1874 in Coburg, Victoria, Australia, the son of Robert Mailer and Isabella Mailer.[1]
He was a grazier.[2] He was also a celebrated cricketer, known for his abilities as a batsman whilst at Scotch College, Melbourne, in the early 1890s, and later representing Victoria in the Sheffield Shield matches.[2]
He married Catherine Anne McNab in 1912 in Victoria.[3]
David died in December 1937 in Shepparton, Victoria, aged 63.[2][4] He left a widow, but no children.[2]
