Alec has been very helpful by contributing many well-sourced additions to my family lineage and by making improvements to correct relationships.

The preferred spelling for Hoxie-15 and Hoxsie-49 is Hoxsie. We just need to get Susan to agree and then go from there. It may be that I will need to be added to the trusted list for both of the profiles.

Hi Re Jane Allen... I don't have any other info so if you think that's her on findagrave I'd go with that. Sorry I don't have anything more.
Hi Alec,

I'd like to invite you to join in our "Weekend Chat", a popular G2G post where many of the members visit and share in a variety of topics.

New people say "Hello" and introduce themselves, Leaders and Mentors give tips and answer questions, and regulars share updates on their latest projects and victories... anything they wish to chat about. I most enjoy stories of famous or nefarious ancestors.

We'd love to hear from you, stop in when you're able!

Hi,

I noticed your new Club 100 badge.

Congratulations ?

Keep up the nice work.

Guy

Hi Alec,

Your Gary Hammond b. 18 May 1947 Syracuse appears to be a different person than my Gary Allen Hammond b. 16 Mar 1948. I'm not completely sure because I know very little about that branch-I do not know where Gary was born or who his parents were.

You can always enter what you know about your Gary assuming he is a different person. If it turns out later that they are the same person then the two records may be merged at that time?

Or, if you are confident they are the same person, I'll add you to Gary's trusted list?

Just let me know which way you would like to proceed.

Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Alec, and welcome to WikiTree! You mentioned your ancestors in Scotland. I wanted to let you know we have a great project that focuses on Scottish Clans here called Scottish Clans Project It would be a great place for you to get involved once you have settled into WikiTree.

You may find some of your ancestors are already on WikiTree and the people in the Scottish Clan Project will be happy to help you in any way they can. The site you want for BMD and census info for Scotland is http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Thank you so much for joining WikiTree. Good luck with your research in 2015.

Hello Alec,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Hi Alec,

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top right, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Welcome! -Shayne
