Hi Morag,

Thank you for supporting WikiTree.

Hoping you saw my request and note asking to be added to the Trusted List of Elizabeth (Hawkins) Green (1621-bef.1661). I've posted a comment on her profile; have added an unmerged match.

Any assistance you are able to provide is much appreciated. --Gene

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

SJ - 1776 Project Leader

Your WV and KY relatives would certainly qualify as these areas were part of the original colonies. We also will be building resources for the entire original territory covered by the (say in this case, the Colony of Virginia also included all of WV) colony. So if you would like, please feel free to join up, add any resources that you might have found to the sub project page, and also once we have an official project template, you can add that to your related profiles. If you would like the badge or more information, please see the google forum (I sent you an invite). If you find it is something of interest, let me know. Thanks again for the reply! Nae

Hi Morag!

Since you are a member of the 1776 project I was wondering if you would be interested in participating in the US Southern Colonies project that is just now getting started? We are setting up sub projects of it, and each of those will need a leader which as a member you can volunteer to do. If there is an area where you have interest or knowledge we sure could use the help! Please see the project page at: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:US_Southern_Colonies#Scottish or if you would just like to participate in shaping this new project, you can join the google forum at: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/wikitree-us-southern-colonies

Thanks for your consideration!

Morag, if you want to add the parentage and sources into Stephen Hopkins profile, please feel free. When that profile was originally put together, we were working with a lot of tossed together family trees, but your sources are from respected sources, and thus, your additions are absolutely welcomed. Just change the note to reflect that parents have been acknowledged, especially by Caleb Johnson, since he is seen as a Mayflower expert. Thanks!

Morag, Thank you for your post on William Brewster's profile.
Would you consider re-post your request about Peter Browne of the Mayflower to Isabelle Browne-68, since those profile managers may have other sources besides Caleb Johnson. Or start a G2G discussion question on this topic to draw out current experts. (Plus I am traveling for a few days and am away from some computer and library records)

Thanks,

Sandy

I suspect we are related. I am working on compiling all the routes of descent from Charlemagne to me. So far I have more than 120 independent routes. All four of my mother's grand parents are descended by multiple routes. When I feel I have found all those on Wikitree I will try to look at them more critically.

Morag,

The reference for John Cobb, b Plymouth in 1632, is the Great Migration Begins by Robert Charles Anderson. He cites the "PCR" as the primary source.

Welcome to the 1776 Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as Template:1776 Thank you.
