Private Samuel Lyon served with Suffolk County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Samuel Lyon is an American Patriot (see sources below)

Samuel was born 17 November 1758, in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He is the son of Elhanan Lyon and Rebecca Belcher. [1] [2]

Samuel served in the American Revolution. He was a private in the company of men detached from Colonel Gill's regiment for service under Captain John Armstrong on a 40 day expedition to Rhode Island.[3]

On 20 July 1783, Samuel married Mary (Vose) Lyon (-1806) in Dorchester, Massachusetts.[4]

Mary died in 1806. Samuel married Hannah (Mallish) Lyon (abt.1788-) on 15 March 1807, in Dorchester, Massachusetts.[5]

Samuel died 25 May 1820, in Dorchester, Massachusetts.[6]
