Biography

JAMES LUNT,[1] born 1718 son of Benjamin Lunt and Hannah Noyes;[2] James died at Falmouth, (current day Maine), 14 Jan 1799; married 28 May 1743[3][4] (recorded at Newbury and Falmouth), HANNAH NOYES, born at Newbury, 6 Jul 1720 daughter of Joseph Noyes and Jane Dole;[5] Hannah died at Falmouth, by 1761 (deed to settle father's estate).

Children

Hannah Noyes and James Lunt were parents of four children.

i BENJAMIN LUNT, b. 1747; d. at Falmouth, ME, 1824; m. at Portland, 7 Jan 1768, MERCY BRACKETT, b. at Falmouth, 1747 daughter of Joshua and Esther (Cox) Brackett; Mercy d. at Falmouth, 1829.

ii JAMES LUNT, b. 1750; d. at Portland, 21 Aug 1800; m. at Portland, 14 Feb 1782, his first cousin, EUNICE NOYES, b. at Portland, 26 Oct 1753 daughter of Josiah and Mary (Lunt) Noyes. There are no known children of James and Eunice.

iii AMOS LUNT, b. 29 Feb 1752; d. at Brunswick, ME, 1 Mar 1837; m. at Portland, 24 Jul 1785, his first cousin, HANNAH NOYES, b. at Portland, 5 Dec 1751 daughter of Josiah and Mary (Lunt) Noyes; Hannah d. at Brunswick, 26 Sep 1836.

iv JOSEPH LUNT, b. 3 Apr 1757; d. at Portland, 15 Sep 1804; m. at Portland, 22 Feb 1785, his first cousin, JANE NOYES, b. 1754 daughter of Peter and Hannah (Merrill) Noyes; Hannah d. 12 Sep 1834.

Just a thought: You may want to add a Research Note section about T.S Lunt's conflation error in order to guide over-enthusiastic future descendants, who rely solely on Lunt's work, away from undoing it all.
