George was born about 1830. He passed away in 1912
AN OLD RESIDENT CALLED BY DEATH. George Luce died at his ranch south of town Sunday morning and the funeral services were held from the St. John's M. E. Church at 2 p.m. on Monday. The deceased was an old and highly respected resident of this community and came here many years ago. He was honest and industrious and owned a good ranch which he had won by hard work. The deceased was over 80 years of age and was born in Industry, Maine. He came to this state with his father and brothers by the way of the isthmus. His wife preceded him to the grave by a few months. Charles Luce, a brother, survives him.[1]
