Biography
Private Benjamin Lowell Sr. served with 5th Regiment, Lincoln County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.
Benjamin Lowell Sr. is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A072079.
Benjamin was born in 1759 in Falmouth, Maine, the son of Abner and Polly Lowell. He passed away in 1834.
On November 18, 1783, Benjamin Lowell married Lydia Annis; the marriage is recorded in New Hampshire records, but no location is given.[1] It would make the most sense that they were married in an unorganized portion of what was then Lincoln County, Massachusetts, somewhere near present-day Bucksport.
The 1899 Historic Genealogy of the Lowells of America from 1639 to 1899 gives the following children:[2]
