Quick question. Are you related to the Love family in Lunenburg County Virginia starting in the 1740's?
I am still looking at Claunch/Glantz in that county, but I have dna match with MaryLou Velebir, who descends from Love. I am just curious if that explains that match. I do know that Claunch people married Love people. Thanks.
Hi David, my apologies for the delayed reply. To the best of my knowledge I am not related to the Love’s in Lunenburg County Virginia. My Love family came from Brunswick Co., VA.
I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 231 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!
Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?
Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.
Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles!
You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.
Check out our US Southern Colonies project to meet members with expertise in North Carolina. If you don't want to see notifications for every person named Stanfield, you'll want to adjust your followed tags on this page.
Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.
If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here.
