PARENTAGE: At the time of his marriage, he is listed as the "younger" Janos Lorintz, although in Hungarian village custom, it does not necessarily mean that the "elder" Janos Lorintz in the village is necessarily his father. In further records, Janos no longer listed as "Ifjabb", that is, the "younger".

Janos Lorintz, that is the father, perhaps Janos Lorintz Sr. died between 1824 - 1826. Look in Szin Deaths .

Research Notes

There is a record of a marriage in Almas (1783) of a Janos Lorintz, from Szilas, to Sara Zsebik from Kortvelyas. Again, there is a Calvinist Janos Lorintz from Szilas that married Sara Zsebik in Almas Catholic records again, registered in 1779 and they are the same couple; the Szilas record was registered later because of the So-Called Tolerance Treaty of allowing Catholic churches to register duplicate birth records of other religions.

There is also a Janos Lorintz of Szogliget married to Barbara Puskas at Szin Reformed on 19 Nov 1793.
