Isabella was born in 1802. She was the daughter of Robert Loncaster and Hannah Hardy. She married William White in Lastingham, northern Yorkshire in 1824. William was a farmer and after they had three children born in Lastingham, the White family emigrated to the United States around 1832 and settled in the Wilmington area. Their first child born in Delaware was son William White. Isabella and William had at least eight children and one daughter, Mary Jane White married Samuel Eckles in Delaware and baptized a daughter Isabella Lancaster Eckles in November 1877. William, who was much older than Isabella, passed away in 1868. Isabella as a widow was head of household and had the Eckles family living with her, although her son-in-law was absent for the 1880 census. Isabella passed away in July 1884 and was buried in the Wilmington & Brandywine Cemetery.
