Jeanne Longnon was born on 14 Jan 1671 and baptized the 19th in Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were Pierre Longnon and Françoise Roussin. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Louis Lepage and Jeanne Choret, wife of Jean Moricet. The officiating priest was Thomas Morel.[1]

Marriage
Jeanne Lognon, aged 16 on the record, married Jean Gaignon, aged 26 on the record, son of Robert Gagnon and Marie Parenteau, on 28 Oct 1686 in Notre-Dame de Québec. In the presence of known witnesses Antoine Fauvel, Louis Mercier, François Peltier, and Fabien Badeau. The celebrant priest was Henri de Bernières.[3]

Death and Burial
Jeanne Loignon, wife of Jean Gagnon, residing in Grande Anse, passed away on 9 Sept 1717 being given the age of around 49 years on the record. Her burial was the same day in Notre-Dame-de-Liesse parish cemetery of Rivière-Ouelle. In the presence of known witnesses Jacques Bois and Nicolas Hudon. The officiating priest was Chasle.[4]
