Hello Sean,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Sean, I think you can connect your profile with that of John Archer Logan (1919-2006) & Jeanne DeLapine (Smith) Logan (1915-2006), whom I believe to be your paternal grandparents. If you need help connecting profile, please let me know. - Bill Vincent

Hi, that is correct, I will look at all of this when I get back from vacation next week. All are good ideas. I also have a mtDNA test which I will attach if I can.

Hi, new to this tool, but I think I have done it, they at least are showing on my tree. Do you mind letting me know?

Yes, you are now connected to your paternal line and your Logan ancestors. Potential DNA matches should pop up after the server updates (within 24 hours). At that time the following link will show how we are related: How Sean & Bill Are Related.

If you click on the "Add" dropdown menu (at upper right), you will be able to add DNA test information, including y-DNA and mtDNA test details. Your y-DNA SNP will subsequently propagate to all Logan men who are related through our Logan family line.
