Christened: 5 AUG 1860. Dutch Reformed Church, Dutoitspan. Register: Parents: Betseler Lofte Eaton (Lidmaat van de Engelse Kerk) and Petronella Margaretha Fourie Witnesses: Petrus Jacobus Nortier, Johanna Magdalena Besuydenhoud, Matthys Johannes Kleyn, Martha Magdalena Smith.
Married: 11 Jan 1886. Dutch Reformed Church, Griquastad. Register: Groom: Johannes Stefanus, 25 years, single, Stock farmer, Kranskloof. Bride: Anna Augusta Koorsen, 17 years (parents' consent), Tweefontein.
Died: 6 Jun 1929. "Khuisroad", dist. Kuruman. Death notice: 68 years 11 months. They lived on Kranskloof, district Hay, Kuruman (which belonged to an attorney, John P Frylinck). Death notice signed on 15-5-1930 by widow present at deathbed. Estate: 93 sheep, 13 goats, 3 horses, furniture. The form of information of a death gives the cause of death as "blood poisoning probably due to an insect bite", ill for 3 days. Form signed by his son BJ Loftie-Eaton of Mooilaagte, dist. Kuruman.
