Hi John - I've reformatted some of your England Stickers as they weren't displaying properly. If you want places that were in the County of London (1889-1965) the text is England Sticker|County of London between double curly brackets.

Thanks Jo, England Project Data Doctors

Hi John,

I wrote to you recently as part of the England Project's six-monthly check-in with our project members. I haven't heard back from you. I hope you are well.

If you could please drop me a quick note to confirm whether you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member, that would be very helpful.

If we do not hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer active in the England Project and remove you from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.

Many thanks!

Maddy,

England Project Leader

Greetings Nic,

I am currently finishing my Orphan Trail commitment. When I finish I will be returning to completing my Welsh family tree. There is a lot of work to be done as I am starting with ancestors born in 1671 in Westbury On Severn in Gloucestershire and will continue to current living relatives in New South Wales, Canada and the Untied States of American. I am now compiling all the sources and relative biographies to add to these WikiTree profiles. I want them to represent the best that WikiTree offers to other genealogist.

Kindest Regards, John Lodge

Hi again John

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

I see that you have already joined our England. I hope you are enjoying being part of the project.

If you look at the Pre-1700 Projects, or our Projects List , you may find some other projects that interest you

Karen,

I am working on completing the Orphan Trail 1 requirements with Rob Pavey mentoring my progress. After I have finished that I will being going back to my WikiTree Family Tree to work on all my Welsh ancestors profiles. I want to get them all entered within the appropriate WkiTree standards. I have a limited time frame as my Ancestry.com subscription is do for renewal at the end of June.

Until we move to a 36 hour day I do not think I will have any time to spend on the Pre-1700 Project. Should that happen , a 36 hour day, I will be back in touch.

Kindest Regards, John Lodge

Hi again John,

I have taken the Orphan Trail, and found it a great learning curve, it helped me improve my profiles tremendously, and I hope you are enjoying it.

A 36 hour day would be very helpful, although I think my son would not like it too much because he would have to spend longer at school 🤣

Good luck with the OT and I hope you get your Welsh ancestors added in time

Take care and have fun

Karen 🤗

Hello John!

I’m conducting the 6-month check in for the US Black Heritage Project. Because we are growing so fast, it’s not always possible for me to see what everyone’s working on.

I’d love to hear what you’ve been working on and if you are still happy being a part of the Slavery Team. Members can change teams at any time. If you need something to work on, we now have a master task list here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Black_Heritage_Project_Tasklist

We now have a project badge! Hooray! As soon as I hear back from you that you’d like to continue with the project, I will add the badge to your profile.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Emma

Emma,

Thank you for reaching out. where am I is a question I ask myself frequently. Every ancestral trail seems to have a hundred forks in the road. My main interest in the US Black Heritage Project was to further my own search into my African Roots. As you know finding you way back to the source sometimes is not possible. I get back to a few places in time and some possible names with very limited documentation if any. So I have pulled away for awhile to gain some sanity and a fresh perspective.

I am still active in WikiTree adding to my family tree and working with an Orphaned Profile Project. I have strong DNA connections to others who share my DNA from the Congo, Cameroon, Southern Bantu People and Madagascar. I have been working individually with them to see if we can find the common ancestor. The best we have achieved in a common place in North Carolina and two surnames.

I am positive there is a slave connection as the surnames were slave owners, both free and not free slaves. I will look at your master task list and see if there is something I would like to under take. I want to finish my orphan profile qualifications first, because there are only 24 hours in a day. I still follow the post from the group to see what is going on.

Regards, John Lodge

I take any blame and not you as I am the one who said make any changes.

I hope this helps, any problems, please let me know.

Take care

Karen

Hi John,

Thank you for your question, the protocol is to message the profile manager and say you have information you would like to add/change and are they ok with you doing so, the answer is usually yes. Before you message them it is best to check their contributions first , if they have not made any in over a month or so it generally means they are no longer active on the site so go ahead and make the changes. I usually wait about a week or two for an answer if you do not get one again go ahead and make the changes. If you need to be on a trusted list then you will need to send a message to [email address removed] explain the situation and they will sort it for you. If there is any comback from making changes, tell them to contact me, as I am the one who said to make the changes,

Hi John

As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
