Biography

Giuseppa Liuria is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Pietro Liuria and Rosa Scimonetto.

Giuseppa marries Salvatore Listi, son of Vincenzo Listi and Giuseppa Palazzo, and widower of Carmela Schillaci, on 23 September 1838 in Corleone. Her mother has died.^[1]

The year before their marriage, Salvatore's brother, Biagio, is part of a failed republican uprising, in which he kills four people and is executed for his crimes.

Salvatore and Giuseppa have at least one child, Calogero (1857).

Calogero is born 19 June 1857 in Corleone and baptized the next day. His godparents are Luciano Fruja and Carmela Listi.^[2]
