Ophelia Lightbourn married Francis Butler 11 June 1826 in Chatham County, Georgia.

Ophelia Butler, widow, married Wesley Abbott 24 December 1839 in Chatham County, Georgia.

Wesley Abbott, a native of New Jersey, died 31 October 1842 in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.

Ophelia Lightbourn Butler Abbott died of consumption 20 May 1854 in Savannah, Georgia at the age of 47 years. She is buried at Laurel Grove Cemetery.

Her will dated 20 January 1854 mentioned her son Samuel S Butler, her sister Catherine Bell of South Carolina, and her niece Margaret Bishop.
