Biography
Melissa was born in 1874. She passed away in 1959. She was only 16 years old when she married her husband James in Pittsylvania county, who was listed as 22 years old at the time later. James later abandoned Melissa and the kids, sometime during the Great Depression. My father Bill, who is Melissa’s grandson through her son Willie Ervin King, doesn’t remember much of her other than that she was a highly religious woman who raised
