Biography
John C Leverett was the hired hand at the time that William Medlock went to prison for highway robbery. William left his young wife with a four month old son and a farm to care for. She married and had a child with John Leverett. That child, a daughter, Laney, was then later raised by William Medlock but it was common knowledge that she was not his child. This story was told to be by Irene Barrington. It was corroborated by her sister Hazel at a separate time Entered by Carla Taylor.
