Biography

For a part of her life, she was in a wheel chair.

For sure she did not die around 1942 because my sister who was just born in 1942 remembered visiting her as a child.

Mariage St-Anaclet-de-Lessard 1891-07-20 LAFRANCE

All Fr. Cdn Roman Catholic women carried Marie in their name which is truly the middle name. Ontario govt lacked sensitivity to this cultural phenomenon and because the order in Fr names is Marie or Joseph followed by the actual given name they recorded the first names as Marie or Joseph. In order to be able to distinguish one ancestor from the other, I think it is reasonable to use the given name, not necessarily the first name I know she went by Adele.
