She enjoyed fishing and drowned on 31 January 2018 at a pond in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, USA. She was buried at Heavenly Gates Cemetery in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA. ^[1] She was survived by 3 daughters, 2 grandsons, and 3 siblings.

L'Tanya Leisa Grimes, 58, a resident of Denham Springs, La passed away on January 31, 2018. "Leisa" was born on August 11, 1959 to Katherine Clark nee Bouligney and Wilson Lemon in Port Allen, Louisiana. She eventually attended Southern University and joined the United States Army where she became a commissioned officer. She was a loving wife of thirty-five years to Morris Grimes Jr. and a dedicated mother to daughters Ashley, Katherine, and Kimberly Grimes. She was also the grandmother to two beloved grandsons, Trushaad Bush and Cairo Squires who affectionately refer to her as "Gram Gram". She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, mother, sisters; Yma Lemon and Jacqueline Gray, brother; Don Lemon, and a host of loved ones. She is preceded in death by an adoring stepfather, Horlis Clark Sr., and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Her hobbies included fishing and attending sporting events with her grandsons.

Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hall Davis and Sons Funeral Home, 9348 Scenic Hwy., from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Home going celebration will also be held at Hall Davis and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 2 p.m. Following the funeral, the repast will be held at New Sunrise Baptist Church Annex, 966 Maryland Ave, Port Allen, LA, USA, 70767. ^[2]
