Thank you for the edits to the Wright family of Ontario. Is there a family connection to them for you? As they are around the 5th cousins times removed connection to me.

Cindy, Thanks so much for adding children to Luther Draper and his wife Hannah Bennett. I'm going to orphan them and just wanted to let you know in case you want to adopt them. Bennett-22810 and Draper-2887.
Congratulations on making more than 100 contributions to WikiTree for the Month of May!

We all appreciate your efforts to make our Shared Tree the best it can be.

Keep up the great work and THANK YOU!

And one on Quebecois which is here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Quebecois

Hi Cindy

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 635 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Here is a list of our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects

Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Shirley Dalton, WikiTree Mentor

Welcome Cindy,

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering and sharing.

Have fun and ask for help ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. You can also join in on the conversation about our question of the week: Do you listen to genealogy podcasts?

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

You may want to edit your TAGS to include dates and locations for each surname per TAG as this will allow you to find others searching for the same surnames.

Happy Hunting,

Jess

Hello and welcome to WikiTree!

The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.

WikiTree is different from other genealogy websites because our goal is to create one big family tree with ONE PROFILE PER PERSON. This means we all work together on our shared ancestors.

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests. It can be a name, like SMITH, or a place, like AUSTRALIA. Be sure to click the "Enter Tag(s) and Volunteer" button when you finish!

After you volunteer, one of us will be by to confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family!

Hope to see you soon!

Vicky
