Biography

Francesco Leggio is born 21 January 1904 in Corleone, the son of Leoluca Leggio and Giuseppa Patti. Francesco is named after his paternal grandfather.

Francesco marries Maria Riina on 21 November 1926.[1]

Francesco and Maria have at least four children: Leoluca (1928), Salvatore (1932), Giuseppe (1935), and Francesco Paolo (1939).

Leoluca, named after his paternal grandfather, is born 15 February 1928.

Salvatore is born 16 February 1932.

Giuseppe is born 2 January 1935.

Francesco Paolo is born 28 August 1939.

In the late 1940s, Francesco, a known mafioso, is the gabelloto of Sant'Ippolito, a large estate in Corleone.[2]

Francesco, his brother, Vincenzo, and four of Francesco's sons appear as defendants in a 1969 trial in Bari, Italy.[3]
