I have created a profile for Robert James Westworth (Westworth-31) which I would like to add to his father's profile Ernest Westworth (Westworth-5) but I can't as his privacy profile is set at Public.
As the profile manager for Ernest, could you please change his privacy level to Open so that I can edit his profile accordingly.
Changing the privacy level to Open would be in accordance with the WikiTree guidelines as Ernest is now deceased and there is not any sensitive information or privacy concerns that I can see in the profile.
Kind regards, Ray Weeks
Sorry for my late reply but I have not had a chance to do genealogy for a while. I'm not sure that I'm clear about what you are suggesting...we think Robert's father was Anthony. Actually, now I see, you are talking about the son...he was always thought to be called Albert but i see now - he is Ernest. I'm glad you have been able to connect it. I have the same birthday as him and I also emigrated (to NZ!) Annmarie
I noticed that you used the Challenge Tracker to track a change during last month's Sourcerers' Challenge. We also have a weekly Saturday Sourcing Sprint that I thought you might find interesting. You can find information, including how to join, on the Sprints Help page.
No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better.
Your work is appreciated. Thanks for sourcing!
Debi - Sprint Coordinator
PS If the link does not work, you can find a working one in the public comment I left on your profile
There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.
Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources
The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.
This page describes sources and how to enter sources and is a favorite, Jilaines Dream Sources Help Page.
Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.
And I'm here to help too, just ask!
