Phillis Large was born in about 1767. She was probably the daughter of Richard Large and Martha Peapell Evans.
She married George Drew on 18 October 1788 at Cricklade, St. Sampson, Wiltshire[1]. George was a Groom of Cricklade; Phillis was a spinster of Purton. John Bristow and Eliz Skillin were the witnesses.
They went on to have at least 12 children, some of whom died young.
Her husband George passed away in July 1825 at the age of 56.
In the England Census of 1841, Phillis Drew (aged 70 and independent) was recorded in the household of Benjamin Clark (75 and a Carpenter) and Ann Clark (70) at High Street, Cricklade St. Mary, Cricklade & Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. Also in the household was her son Jonathan Drew (aged 25).
On 5 August 1844 her youngest son Jonathan married Sally Lane on 5 August 1844 in the parish church in the parish of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire[2],

Phillis Drew passed away on 31 January 1857 and was buried on 6 February 1857 at Winchcomb, Gloucestershire[4]. Her Will was proved on 17 February 1857 at Winchcombe by her son Jonathan White Drew of Cricklade in the County of Wilts, Carpenter and Wheelwright. Her estate was valued at under £300
