"Born February 6, 1855, Hectorine Langevin is the daughter of Hector-Louis Langevin, lawyer and politician, and Marie-Justine Têtu.
Hectorine Langevin studied with the Ursulines of Quebec. She writes sporadically in a few newspapers and magazines under the pseudonym of Miriam.
She died in Saint-Denis de Kamouraska on October 4, 1934. She is buried in the same town, in the parish cemetery.
She had married in Quebec, in 1884, Thomas Chapais, journalist, historian, deputy and senator, son of Jean-Charles Chapais, merchant and politician, and Henriette-Georgina Dionne."
She passed away in 1934.
