Marriage

-1902- - She married Arthur Townsend in 1902 in D. C.. ^[3]
-1910- - In 1910 they lived in Precinct 11, Washington, D.C. Her husband was the head of household and her father lived with them. ^[4]
-1930- - In the Census Records of 1930 ^[5]
-1940- - and 1940 ^[6], she was living in Washington D.C., her husband was head of household on census.
-1949- - Her husband died in 1949, they were living in Congress Heights, in the District of Columbia at the time.
-1950- - In 1950 she was living with her nephew (niece's husband), [[James Emery Garrett , in the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
-1953- - Her husband, Arthur died in 1953. As long as she was able she had a few paragraphs printed in the "Evening Star" every year on the anniversary of his death expressing her love for him. ^[7]

She was buried in the Congressional Cemetery, of Washington, D.C. along with her husband and father. ^[9]
