Biography

Pierre Noël Landry was born and baptized on 1 Jul 1779 in Sainte-Marie parish in Beauce. He was the son of Augustin Landry and Marie Thècle Pépin. Godparents at Noël's baptism were Pierre-Noel Morin and Marie-Magdeleine Landri [sic] (wife of Benjamin Dion). At age 21 Noël married Magdelaine Landry on 7 Oct 1800 in Sainte-Marie parish; they received a dispensation for the third degree of consanguinity. There are 17 known children born into this marriage. Noël died at age 70 on 18 Sep 1849; he was buried the next day in Sainte-Marie parish cemetery.
