Biography

First, My music would not have been realized without Reverbnation period. Now the whole story. In first grade, I ran away from school and headed for my grandfather's bait shop on Lake Erie next to a wildlife preserve near the town of Luna Pier, MI where I grew up on the Lagoons. Fishing, boating, hiking, skating in the winters. I learned about my heritage and history, the woods runners of the past, the French Canadian Metis, and Indian Interpreters, mission guides, fur traders and proud peoples of the America's, but most of all for me the love for nature. Of my oldest memories, seeing an Eagles Nest with my brother as my dad pulled us in a wagon on Morter Creek Rd. Monroe and laying in the same wagon under a shade tree on 6th street in front of our house in Monroe. It would be 50 years till I saw another eagles nest. This time on Patcong Creek across the creek from a boat ramp a mile from our house in Linwood NJ. Where we raised our two children. In the majestic looking pines 1/4 mile away from the ramp I sat in the parking lot and wrote many of my hundreds of songs while one winter I watch as three eagles were raised to fledglings and take their maiden flights. I wrote songs that came to me watching the nature around me, as the tide raised and fell as the wind blew and the Harrier Hawk hovered over the meadows. This would not be the first or the last of the Open Spaces even just in Linwood that I would draw from as I wrote and singed and even recorded my Naive Music. In fact, it was one of 4 places in Linwood I would frequent to inspire me to write. Linwood is on a peninsula with the creek to the West and the Bay to the East offered a unique place for wildlife. On the same road that I took to the Patcong Creek boat ramp I could go west to the bay, there another boat ramp on Seaview Ave. This one was out in the middle of the meadows with docks a mile from the ocean with a whole new set of creatures to inspire like the Black Skimmer, the Terrapin turtle, and the Blue crab, not to forget the Horse Shoe Crab. To the north in Linwood also on the bay near the Linwood Country Club lay another gravel road also protrudes into the meadows, here away from any activities of the boat ramps more solitude and shyer creatures like the Glossy Ibis and Blue Herron would hang out. But to use a phrase from the Goonies there was one other special place, the place where it "All Began" My "Field of Dreams". First, let me tell about a Gazebo I built just before my daughter had been born but she had yet to be visited by my Mom and Dad after her birth, You've heard "build it and they will come" so I did. and written on the sides at the top it says " Welcome father field of Dreams" "Build it and They Will Come" and they did. but for me, there was another dream this time about an adjacent property, and in the dream, I was told this would be a park with a split rail fence in front, but as most dreams go it was forgotten until I realized I played a huge part in bringing it into existence and making it my "Field of Dreams" for I was to spend a solid year cleaning up the contaminated and overgrown property and the next ten doing everything from weed whacking and planting grass and Hostas to raking the stone from the old Oil Company Turn around and fueling dock to terring up the old chip creat (Thin Ashfault type Road) as I worked I started writing my songs, I was to bond with a hawk that frequented the area even thogh this was an old industreal site there overthe past 30 yearts sitting idil as a contaminated site many trees grew such like the Walnut that spreed out un impeeded. in fact, the birds had obviously spread their seed among the almost all fruit-bearing trees such as the Mulberry and Wild cherry, of course, the squirrels making there mark with the Hickory and the oak and walnut also. of note, a duckling that I suspect was a resident of an adjacent property when finding herself homeless after her nest was destroyed by landscapers showed up at my house a block away was to bond with me and follow me around as I worked. Now almost 15 years have passed. I've probably written nearly 400 songs, the park in my dreams was realized, as are the songs and the rest is history. when I started I had no Accompaniments to the songs, then I found Mixcraft. Mixcraft is a Digital mixing and accompaniments software from Acoustica. I started by adding simple additions then beat matched and multiple instrumentals. I tried even at the start to trick the ear because being without any musical training I could only try and match melodies, that's why I call my music naive not because of the lyrics but the simple way of making it through digital and computing equipment. Although my lyrics did evolve from more simple one to what can be described as stories, fables, rhymes and folk music. and to the end, I come but not finish completely just finish for I am reminded by some of Jesus last words " It Is Finished" because no matter what happens this day forward I have made my mark. It wasn't for the sake of the music I built the park it was for the sake of the park my Music was realized so no matter I will always have my Music and because it was realized as digital medium it can change and evolve digitally so someday not only beat matched but melody matched and as long as Reverbnation wants me it will spread throughout the world and that is the last word on that Kevin C Lajiness 6:24 pm 12/23/2017; [1]

Exstended Family

My Dads side of the family would best be described as Metis, French Canadians, the first of witch was Louis Hebert an Apocrathy for Champlain that was known as the first permanant setler north of the Mexican border and the father of Farming in Canada, he has a momorial in Quebec, Some of my fathers family were souldgers for the Carnagen regament, others like the SansCraints came from Quebec to Detroit and involved themselfes in the fur traide some like Pierre Roy, said to be at Detroit befor Cadilac and married there Margaret a Miamies Indian, these ancesters at Detroit lived among the local natives and those that were invited to go to Detroit of notable Ancesters the Sancraintes were interpreters and were involved in the signing of the treaty of Greenvile, and Durring the revolution the Father saved the son life durring the Capture of Fort sackville where the son was captured along with Pontiacs son and were to be tomahocked with five other souldgers from Detroit when the father steped in who was working for Clark i think as an interpreter and lowered his musket saving his sons life, Pontiacs son was also saved by someone but 5 were sacroficed at the gates of the fort after there surrender and there blood turned the river red as there dead boddies were dragged. Marguerite Roy, baptized on 27 April 1704,1 the second complete record in the surviving registers of Ste. Anne de Detroit. Her parents are Pierre Roy and Marguerite OuabanKiKoué (Maumee (Miami) Indian nation. She lived at Kekionga (meaning "blackberry bush") also known as Kiskakon or Pacan's Village, was the capital of the Miami tribe. Long occupied by successive cultures of indigenous peoples, Kekionga was a large village of the Miami people at the time of European encounter. Another notable ancestor was the sister of the famous Madame Montour a Miami Indian; and, acting as godparents at her baptism were Henri Belisle and Isabelle Couc, my 8th great-grand aunt, who would later be known as Madame Montour [2] Early research finding mistakes in Census records, recognizing migration patterns and trying to confirm my research, and using more than one source, however my grammar and spelling errors have muted me to a certain extent, the link at the bottom of the page takes you to my web album that has been my focus for these early years, I'm just to busy to go back and correct errors and I don't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater, My research in Baltimore and Washington co MD the Bonlink titled of ST Thomas Church, Garrison Forest in MD and the Sager and Newcomer's in Wa. Co that have appeared to have come from Northampton co Pa: click on the link at the bottom to go to Album,Below old stuff. I am researching the first one hundred Colonists in Quebec, beginning with the first permanent colonist north of the Mexican border, Louis Hebert, my Ancestor, I am also studying the genealogical relationship between these families and the French Canadian families of Southern Michigan, specifically the Monroe area.Family names included are Sanscrainte, Lajiness, etc. For now this Project is on Hold. I Have to Much information going back to far to give it justice now. I have come to the conclusion that if you can connect through the LeNuef Line, Done By the Late Mr. Jette, the Royals are your Oyster. Also the First at Quebec are almost all Related somehow. Now to change gears. I've been working on my Moms side which is a different animal altogether. Her side basically came to America as a result of the Reformation in Europe in the 16th and 17th Century. A Few came as a result of William Penn to Philly then to The English colony of Maryland under Lord Baltimore At Monocacy Manor in Frederick, Co., MD. From There to places like Lancaster, Co., Penn, Mifflin Co, Scanton twp., Montgomery Twp. The Germans, English, Scott-Irish Reformed from Philadelphia to Lancaster to Mifflin, PA to Hancock Co., OH, From Columbia CO., OH. Others Lutheran, Mennonites, Quakers, From VA, NJ,and WV. also early Jamestown and puritan ancestors that came over as a result of the fall of the Stuart Dynasty and the war of the roses or those that were favored by the King or Queen in power at the time and given land grants or titles or to fight in some war. By studying the migration patterns of my ancestors and their occupations it is clear to me that early on in the pioneering life there is a connection if you will with groups from one area to the other area of the country that is almost predictable. In my research as I tried to Confirm the line from William Powell (AP Howell) to me (on my Mothers side) it is my theory that John Powell from Paxtang PA (Will 1748, witnessed by Thomas McKee ancestor of Alexander McKee, (Indian Trader In charge of Indian affairs for the British in Canada) Indian trader) was probably son of William Powell (Upper Ferry Schuylkill abt1700) and that Alexander McKee worked closely with Jean Bapt Sanscrante( Indian trader and interpreter signing the treaty of Greenville married 2nd to an Indian) an ancestor on My fathers side, I will be giving a chronological account of this on my blogs Today Feb, 22, 2010 I am referring this work to my Blog (William Powell Of Southwark, Surry co, England and Descendants) [3] " In 1749, (Liver at a time Piqua on the Susquehanna ) near Lancaster, This year John Powel/Powell Dies. My Ancestor Trader and son of William first purchaser, one of the Welsh founders of Philadelphia. This John having a ferry at Spring Garden street of Philadelphia. His wife Nonhelema, was a Shawnee chief nicknamed "The Grenadier Squaw." She was the sister of Chief Cornstalk and supported peace with the young United States." [ "Some Shawnee occupied areas in central Pennsylvania. Long without a chief, in 1714 they asked Carondawana, an Oneida war chief of the Iroquois, to represent them to the Pennsylvania provincial council, which accepted the Shawnee choice. About 1727 Carondawana and his wife, a prominent interpreter known as Madame "Elisabeth Isabelle Couc (1667 - 1752)" Montour (Kevin is "Elisabeth's" 8th great grand nephew) , settled at Otstonwakin, on the west bank at the confluence of Loyalsock Creek and the West Branch Susquehanna River.[22]" [4] [8-14-1725 - Permission accordée au sieur Forestier de faire partir un canot équipé de 5 hommes, lui compris, pour aller aux Miamis y mener Lafontaine chez des Ouyatanon. However, this traveller could not be Jacques because he died in 1707... it could be a 61-year old Maurice Ménard or most likely one of his children or nephews, or even one of the sons of ancestor Louis Robert, who used the dit name LaFontaine and were active in the fur trade.) to the settlement of Ottawas.)]http://www.apointinhistory.net/menard.php

Ancestor and fur trader Pierre Roy who married (at St Joseph on the Wabash) Miami's Bride Margaret Ouabankikoue.was at Detroit Ancester and signer of "The Treaty of Greefield"; Bt. Jean SansCrainte signed Treaty of Greenville as an interpretor and Ancester to Kevin Lajiness From ;Treaty "During the first years of the conflict, the French and their allies won victory after victory but in 1758 the English gained the ascendancy, taking Louisbourg and Fort Duquesne. In the following year, Wolf stormed the Heights of Abraham and took the citadel of Quebec, the backbone of Canada. This was the climax of the struggle on the continent that won for the Anglo-Saxon the supremacy in the New World and deprived France of her American possessions. John Fiske wrote of it: [5]

My main interest in Genealogy is below.

Where do I start, well um, I’ve been researching X-DNA for probably a decade now more specifically groups of people that are X-DNA matches to me and each other, although the laws have changed, from what I can tell, what is shared as far as details that can Identify live people without their consent is the issue. So there's no misunderstanding. The focus of my research is relationships of family groups to each other in a comprehensive X-DNA Tree, not to identify live individuals. Common Ancestry in particular the Most Recent Common Ancestor MRCA. My information for a starting point was people who relate to me and are or were publicly identified as an X-Match. I used publicly sourced info to find their Dead Ancestors and built tree’s that I could then post On WikiTree and Ancestry. At first I made profiles that were made private since the people are living, but since then the rules have changed and you can't do that without their permission, but since i am not interested in living people although i would like to confirm the tree's, it requires their impute to confirm my findings, I will just wait till rules change or the sights themself find a way to confirm them. I have found people iether don't care or don't respond other than opting into just sharing data with you.

At the very least as the genealogy and possibilities develop over time by the process of elimanation and the trees fill in the trails will strengthen themselves. Now to dispel some people that would poo poo the whole exercise, number one as time goes by on Wikitree and as the relative populate themselves MRCA will change what might start out with 3 or 4 people with the same common ancestor at 13 generations might end up as 3 who are 5th cousins or a compbination there in. I heard people say X-DNA is no go for medieval proof, to answer that question I’ll refer to what 23 and me says, “ If your haplogen groups are consistent that is to say one is a subgroup of another one or both things can be true, you share ancient roots or you relate through a long line of female to female ancestry” another thing I would like to clear up is because I’ve posted it as DNA research it is really relationship possibilities based on DNA research and probabilities based on process of elimination, let me give you an example say Ancestry suggest DNA relatives and some are Autosomal DNA matches and two or three are X-DNA I have two matches that suggest additional children of John Wigton Fleming 1697 and I do the genealogy and it checks out to him, but the only way they work out is they go through his wife to her step grandmother I think Jane Drury, and I fine a third X-DNA match that is a complete maternal trail to Jane Drury, they are all related to each other and are say 8th cousins and have been on Wikitree long enough to have much of the tree’s filled in. Now you check their relationship with each other without being connected through John Fleming and the closest you get is 23 generation back if at all, well that may be of interest th people studying Pocahontas or the Earls of Wigton, but beyond that you match to the known children of John or his wife siblings as I do, at some point it becomes clear that one of two things are likely the step grandmother is really biological but at the very least you are on the right track if you are lucky the trail is a strait female to female one and mitochondrial DNA can answer the question.

Males can only get X-DNA from their mothers. The main take off of this is, and this is the most important point, when you have X-DNA that is shared with a group of people that are all related to each other and the MOST RECENT COMMON ANCESTOR is know through the process of elimination, strengthened by Genealogy and even though triangulation in not necessary with X-DNA the bigger the number that relates the obvious increase the likelihood of conformation [6]

Hi Kevin

Looking forward to working with you on sourcing profiles.

Thanks for adding Robert McKee and Agnes Cunningham the wife of Robert McKee as the mother of Andrew (Mckee-743). However, Robert and Agnes' profiles are not sourced. Do you have primary documentation that this is the same family? If so, would you please update the 3 profiles? Thanks!

Looks like we are 5th cousins three times removed! Wow! John Christian Hench is your 7th great grandfather and my 4th great grandfather! I've visited his birth place in Metz, also Miltenberg and Burgstadt in Germany. Metz was actually in Germany at the time of his birth in 1711. The family was Huguenot , escaped and went to Miltenberg. There is a beautiful huge plaque still hanging in a church there in Miltenberg, with his name on it. I'm sure you know the story once they arrived in Yellow Springs. My WikiTree number is McDonald -20434.

Please do not ask me to merge profiles that are computer generated or post after mine that are duplicates, if there is a profile that is a duplicate it was not done by me i can not passably confirm all the duplicates that were created when my GED was added, this was a Hugh file and may even been its own depository at Ancestry, It was a collaborative work spanning generations and a combination of a many files to show up on the internet early, its a life time of work be patient

Hi there. On Nusbaum-111, If you just merge the two I'll clean it up later if you want.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know why I deleted your comment on Guyon-78. Because WikiTree is international, we need to comply with the recent EU privacy law, which covers DNA. I don't whether the people you named are active WikiTree members or not, but perhaps DNA discussions can be continued privately and results posted.

See this G2G post for more information about the EU law.

Hi Cousin Kevin,

I just wanted to say hello. And to share with you that we are 24th cousins. Our common ancestor is Fenando Alfonsez (Castilla) de Castilla, King of Spain. (1201-1252). Wikitree ID: Castilla-105. He is your 23rd g-grandfather and mine.

I don't know if you are aware that we also share 15 more ancestors after him up to 30 generations who are monarchs in England, France, Spain, etc.

Beyond that, the older ancestral trail gets even more interesting to explore! You should explore it. Your roots are in the Monarchy of many different countries! There are ancestors, of yours and mine, who you'd likely be astonished to discover!

Just wanted to share this information, and to say Hi. Isn't Wikitree fun, cousin!
