Biography

Mary (Laidler) Anderson was born in Northumberland, England.

Mary married Luke Anderson on 3 June 1810 at St Nicholas, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland.^[1][2]

Mary and Luke had at least one child, James, born on 7 Mar 1811 and christened at Rothbury, Northumberland on 28 July 1811.^[3]

A Mary Anderson's death was registered at Berwidk in the first quarter of 1877, age at death 87.^[4]

Note included in gedcom - 'From Allenton. That is the old name for Alwinton.'

Research Notes

I have found christenings for Mary Laidlaw in Knarsdale, Northumberland in 1789^[5] and Mary Laidler at Felton, Northumberland in 1787,^[6] but both of these places are about 60 miles from Alwinton so seem unlikely - although do not know what the evidence for Alwinton is.
